After almost two weeks of unavailability, eBIRForms are now accessible. But aside from that, eBIRForms Offline Package version 6.1 has been released and it’s advised to use such version to minimize common problems encountered by the taxpayers. To download the eBIRForms v6.1, click the link below.

In an memorandum issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) dated May 24, 2016, the informed the stakeholders of the following:
Please be informed that accessibility to/availability of the eBIRForms System has been restored. Further – to minimize common problems encountered by taxpayers/users of the system, we strongly recommend the use of eBlRForms Offline. Kindly disseminate the aforementioned information to all concerned taxpayers under your jurisdiction.
Aside from that, the BIR, on the same date, issued a memorandum announcing the availability of the eBIRForms v6.1.
Please be informed that eBIRForms System is now available using Offline Package version 6.1. You are hereby enjoined that the foregoing information be disseminated to all concerned taxpayers under your jurisdiction. For your information and guidance.
It’s to be noted that starting on or before May 19, 2016, the eBIRForms Offline Package v6.0 can no longer submit the eBIRForms due purportedly to the lack of internet connection. This happens despite of the several tries to submit the forms. Some netizen found relief by downgrading their current installation to version 5.0, since other newer and older version are not working as well. So in a short period of time, some taxpayers, but not all, were able to file their returns using eBIRForms v6.0.
For some who some taxpayers however, they complain that they can’t file using any version and were really pissed off considering that there is tremendous penalties that need to be dealt with especially when there are taxes due. Most of the tax filers brought their problems and frustrations to the social media, and some were successful in resolving it by downgrading versions.
What to do?
Just in case you will bump to similar problem in the future, make sure to call BIR Customer Assistance Division at Tel. No. 981-8888 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and attach a screenshot of the error/s encountered.

Page Setup for Forms (Internet Explorer):
- Margin — Left: 0.146 inches; Right: 0.148 inches; Top: 0.14 inches; Bottom: 0.14 inches (Note: Or whatever minimum margin allowed by the IE)
- Page Size: Folio or Legal
- Header/Footer: All six (6) boxes should be set to “Empty”.
Page Setup – Annual Income Tax Return (forms 1700, 1701, 1702-RT, 1702-EX and 1702-MX):
- Check the “Print Background Colors and Images” option
- Uncheck the “Enable Shrink-to-fit” option
- Set the Margin settings — Left – 0.166; Right – 0.166; Top – 0.166; Bottom – 0.166
- All Header and Footer measurements must be set to ‘Empty’
- A4 – for all Annual Income Tax Returns (1700, 1701, 1702RT, 1702EX and 1702MX)
- Legal size or Folio size (8.5″ x 13″) – for the rest of the forms

v5.0 no longer sending form to BIR returning warning message as 1. No internet connection 2. Slow internet connection and 3. Overly restricted firewall… pls. let me know how to fix..I am trying to submit 2551M for the month of November..
The current version is 6.3. Upgrading your version will help.

eBIR 6.3 and 6.1 error pop-up message while sending returns (im using windows 7 64-bit, updated java 07/24/17);

What form are you trying to accomplish and what version are you using? Updated version is 6.3
Hi, we have a problem in setting the print dialog of the program. It always prints with headers and footers. We tried editing settings in MS Edge but somehow it has no effect. We are using MS Windows 10 on our laptop.
Edit the settings in the Internet Explorer, not Edge.
we tried in a Win8.1 unit editing settings in IE and it works! thanks.. something is wrong with Edge. Hopefully, BIR is more flexible in the future.

Internet Explorer is no longer available. So, how do I print 1701Q?
In the new “Edge”, there is an option there to open in Internet Explorer. I just don’t know if it’s the same in all computers.
Good afternoon po, can I asked for help, we have filed several returns via ebirforms and have reached "successful send, wait for confirmation via email"
however, we have not received any email. How can we verify and or obtained confirmations, may be the system (bir data center) has a copy of the returns.

Hi Ariel! If you are sure that you entered a correct e-mail address, you may want to check your “Spam” folder.
For this 2nd qtr submission, I tried using V6.1. Like Mr. Black’s experience, it went through but have not received any email confirmation. Not in Spam folder. What should I do to not miss deadline?

I'm not sure because my internet connection was working pretty well with other applications. Anyway after many many many tries it submitted, late at night.
Well, if you have successfully submitted once, then probably there's an issue in your connection. Have you tried restarting your computer?
We are using it and so far it's working seamlessly.
Version 6.1 is still not working! I was able to send my 1601E successfully last Friday, but after that it would not connect to the internet anymore. I have ttried all weekend but still cannot connect to the internet.
